- Pick a scale factor: 2x, 3x, or 4x.
- Adjust the sharpen amount if needed.
- Select Upscale image and download the result.
How this upscaler works
The image is enlarged in doubling steps rather than one large jump, which keeps each resampling pass closer to 2x and produces noticeably less blur than stretching directly to a much larger size. A sharpening pass then restores perceived detail. This is a resampling and sharpening technique, not an AI model — it will not invent detail that isn't already in the source image.
Your image stays private
The image is processed entirely on your device using the browser's canvas engine. It is never uploaded to Inqita or any server.
Common use cases
- Enlarge a small product photo for a listing
- Increase resolution before printing
- Sharpen and enlarge a screenshot
Frequently asked questions
Is this image upscaler free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no signup and no watermark.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. It is processed locally in your browser using canvas resampling. Nothing is sent to Inqita or stored.
Does this use AI to add detail?
No. It uses smart step-wise resampling plus a sharpening pass, not an AI super-resolution model. It will not invent detail that isn't in the original image.
How large can I upscale an image?
Up to 4x, capped at a 30-megapixel output to keep processing fast and reliable in your browser.
Will this fix a blurry or low-quality photo?
It can make a small image look sharper at a larger size, but it can't recover detail that was never captured in the original photo.
