How to make a QR code

  1. Choose a content type: Text, URL, WiFi, or Contact.
  2. Fill in the fields for that type and watch the preview update instantly.
  3. Adjust size, error-correction level, and colors if needed.
  4. Download the result as PNG or SVG, or copy the image.

Why use this QR code generator?

The code is generated and rendered entirely in your browser as you type, with no upload and no account. Every format offered is free to download, with no signup gate on PNG or SVG output.

Customize without hurting scan reliability

Add colors, rounded or dot-style modules, a centered logo, and an optional caption. Keep strong contrast between the code and its background, preserve the quiet margin, and test the downloaded result on more than one phone before printing it.

Common use cases

  • Share a WiFi network without reading out the password
  • Put a link on a printed flyer, menu, or poster
  • Add a scannable contact card to a business card

Frequently asked questions

Is anything I type uploaded or stored?

No. The QR code is generated and rendered locally in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Inqita or stored.

What content types are supported?

Plain text, URLs, WiFi network details, and contact cards (vCard) are supported in this release.

What does the error-correction level do?

Higher levels (Quartile, High) let the code keep working even if part of it is dirty or damaged, at the cost of a slightly denser code. Medium is a good default for most uses.

Can I use my own colors?

Yes. You can set a custom foreground and background color before downloading.

Why did it say my text is too long?

Very long text needs a larger code to stay scannable. If your content does not fit at the selected error-correction level, try a lower level or shorter content.

Can I add a logo?

Yes. Add a logo in the center and adjust its size. Higher error correction can improve resilience, but every finished code should still be tested before publication.

Can I add text above or below the QR code?

Yes. Add a caption, choose its position and colors, and export it together with the QR code.
